About Añañau
The story and purpose of Añañau — supporting children and families in Cusco since 2014.
An Educational Project Born from Passion
Peru faces significant challenges of poverty and social inequality, with many families in the Cusco region lacking access to basic educational resources, healthcare, and economic opportunities.
Añañau is a non-profit NGO founded in 2014 by Sadith Paez Montesinos and Ellen Bosch in Cusco, Peru. The name comes from the Quechua language and means 'how beautiful' — a tender expression used by mothers to their children.
Our work focuses on education, health, and socio-cultural development. We believe that sustainable change comes from working alongside families and communities, not for them.
Our Areas of Focus
Education
After-school programs, literacy, scholarships, and STEAM education to equip children with the knowledge and skills they need.
Health
Health and hygiene education, nutrition guidance, and connecting families with local healthcare services.
Community
Socio-cultural development through family workshops, parent involvement, and community events.
