STEAM Workshop Ignites Curiosity in 60 Children This January
Our first STEAM workshop of 2026 brought together science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics in a hands-on, joyful learning experience. Here is what happened.
Our first STEAM workshop of 2026 brought together science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics in a hands-on, joyful learning experience for 60 children at the Añañau centre.
Over three days, the children built simple circuits, created paper bridges, painted with natural dyes, and explored basic coding concepts with visual block-based tools.
Why STEAM matters in Cusco
Many children in the communities we serve have limited access to hands-on science education. The STEAM workshops fill this gap by making learning tangible, exciting, and connected to the world around them.
We are planning four more workshops throughout 2026. Volunteers with science, technology, or arts backgrounds are always welcome to help facilitate.
